Quartz Co. is a Canadian-made outerwear company based In Montreal. Founded in 1997, the company that was originally called Quartz Nature, used to focus on Ski outdoor gear. It was only in 2019 that the company was renamed Quartz Co. Along with the name change, Quartz Co. decided to change their focus onto becoming a sustainable outerwear company with the goal of not only protecting the environment but also the people their products were created for!
Since the launch of their first official jacket as Quartz Co., the brand has worked towards modernizing their products. In 2016, Quartz Co. launched their new collection called "Editor" that incorporated new shapes and palettes. It was only in 2019 that the company acquired two factories in Canada (Victoriaville and Montreal) to ensure safe and ethical business practices for their employees. Since then, all of their products have been made entirely in Canada.
In 2020, during the Covid-19 pandemic, Quartz Co. turned one of their factories into a medical gown factory to help the growing demand in medial gear. During that year, Quartz co. decided to create a new product line made of post-consumer and post-industrial recycled fabrics. You can now find their sustainable line "Forward" in their store!

The Lutse Down Jacket by Quartz Co. is a classic unisex semi-slim fit coat with the warmth for standalone use in temperatures plummeting to -30°C. The jacket is padded using 750 fill power of 100% Canadian white duck down. A quality 80% down to 20% feather fill-ratio provides lofty warmth, and Quartz protects the insulation with an ultra-fresh antimicrobial agent. Adjustable fixed hood with removable Canadian coyote fur. Two-way zipper closure and snap button placket at front. Also has 4 outside pockets and storm cuffs. Made in Canada. Comes in Black.
